Help the people of Kemoto
In a small village in Gambia you find some of the nicest people in the whole world. These guys is living and extremely tough life, but gives you all the love you could ever dream off. They are mainly self supplied. Fish from the Gambia river and vegetable from the fields.
The everyday life is characterized by hard work to get food and water. I wish to do an fundraiser to help these wonderful people. They are in deep need of an new weld and water pump/pipes, repairs on the school, teaching materials, batteries, solar panels... 100% of all the money will go directly to the community of Kemoto.
For drinking water they have dug a lot of welds. But in loss of concrete to fill them they all fell apart after not to long. Its earlier been donated two welds, but unfortunately they are not anymore delivering fresh water.
There is allso one school that is shared between multiple villages. The school misses the top section of the roof. Therefore everytime it rains, it will rain straight into the school. All the kids then have to gather around the walls so they dont get wet. Therefore I wish to patch this together so they can remain dry all year.
They allso need alot of equipment for the education like chairs, desks, pencils books and so on. So if you have money, equipment or work experience we will highly appreciate your help.
Drinking water
In Kemoto today the people have to walk 5 km every day to collect water. This gets tapped on big cans which they have to carry all the way back to their houses. This is very hard work and goes on top of all the necessary hard work required to pass the everyday living in this harsh environment.
Earlier there was an well in the middle of the village, but unfortunately this is no longer giving fresh water. The community wishes to build an new weld closer to the city. This has to bee deep enough to get past the saltwater that is in the top layer of the soil. Also it needs to get cast in concrete so it doesn't fall apart.
The well has to be dug a little bit outside of the city. Too make the process easier they would like to build an water tower with an big water pump. This way they can put pipes around in the village so that people do not have to walk that far to collect the water.
The community wishes this kind of outlets around the village.

The School in Kemoto
This is an small school in Kemoto.
The school is very primitive but does the job. Alot of pupils goes to the bigger cities after this, but some goes to help at the farms and houses.
The school misses desks and chairs for all the people, so sometimes they have to sit at the floor. The money went out during construction, therefore they could not finnish the roof on the school. There is an hole in the top of the roof all along the school. Therefore every time it rains it will get wet in the middle of the building. All the kids have to go towards the wall not to get soaked.
We wish to complete the work on the roof, so they can use the whole classroom without getting wet.
It is allso necesarry to buy some more desks and chairs to the school. Aswell as basic materials for the educations. Like books and pencils....

Kitchen and food at the school
The kids is getting served food and water at school. There is a lot of families struggling to feed their children enough food. It is therefore important that the kids get enough food at school so they can have enough energy to participate in the education.
The kitchen need some small repairs.
Also the economy for the school is very bad and they struggle hard to get enough food to feed all the kids. All of the excess money after necessary repairs will go straight to the food found of the school.
